Excitement galore as Akumba Age Grade celebrates culture, appoints Elder (Chief) Dede Kalu as patron

It was a display of culture during the weekend when the people of AMAEKPU, a community in OHAFIA LGA of Abia State congregated in Okota, Isolo in Lagos State to celebrate the 2nd AKUMBA AGE GRADE and the investiture of their Patron.
The event witnessed the assemblage of prominent indigenes from Amaekpu Community with a display of culture and traditional cuisine where invites guests were served and also entertained with.
As part of the activities lined up for the occasion, Elder (Chief) Dede Kalu, a celebrated marketing expert and a philanthropist was crowned as the Patron of Akumba Age Grade, Lagos.


After the newly appointed Patron, Elder Dede Kalu was unveiled by Chief Kalu Onyeama to the people of Amaekpu Development Union (ADU), Lagos, he was thereafter adorned with the specially designed attire reserve for Patrons and was thereafter presented to the public with pomp and applause from the indigenes that attended the event.
The event was followed with lectures on the roles of Age Grade in the development of Igbos society and the Community at large.
