Love potion hub opens in Nigeria

A hub, Love Potion, built for lovers of nature and creativity has opened in Lagos. The romantic hub situated in Lekki, Lagos State offers a wide range of activities that will assist lovers of creativy to achieve their aims.

According to the Creative Director and Co-founder, Ike Nnaebue, aka ‘Flow’, “Love Portion is a gift to Nollywood in particular and the African film industry in general. It is a premium homegrown global brand with a great passion for supporting the local film industry”.

“This is an innovative hub created for artists to relax. We are creating this hub in different places. The idea is to partner with local artists from different cities across Africa and in the Caribbean as well. It is basically a platform for artists to blossom. We encourage partnership and collaboration to make this happen.

“This is the first location, which will give birth to other openings in areas like Ikeja GRA coming up this year. In the first quarter of this year, Love Potion will also be opened at Kigali, Rwanda and the Caribbean.

“The hub is a serene and creative environment, where originality meets creative minds to unwind. Facilities at the hub include, a lovely garden, swimming pool, sculptures and beautiful paintings, Jacuzzi, etc. The hub is also a beautiful place for trainings, film screenings and other creative activities.

“This hub is an amazing space for weekend getaways, team bonding, picnics, photo and video shoots. It is also a contribution to the development of the creative industry in the country.

“The idea was to create a proper studio hub in the country, as they exist in Hollywood and other climes. The hub will be a powerful force in the Nigerian creative space where the best production would emerge.

“The hub is a place for training, production and brainstorming. It is a place where people can come in for pleasure, recharge, do conferences and picnics,” Nnaebue explained.

Explaining further, Tari Etete, aka “Ezedibia”, Co-Founder of the hub said “We want people to be able to get together to understand what creativity is all about and what creativity actually entails and to self-realize and understand what it involves. Here people are given opportunity to meet like-minded creative souls who will be willing to sponsor and most importantly, mentor them to achieve their goals in life. Sometimes you may give someone money, but it doesn’t mean you’ve achieved anything. Let me give an instance here. When my partner and I met, we didn’t meet because of money but it was destiny that brought us together. We want people to also come here to seek their destinies and should not be afraid to discover their drives through their talents in music, dance, movies and documentaries, as well as do things that are relevant.”

Love portion is a place where love is expressed at all levels. Describing Love Portion further the Brand Ambassador and ‘Love Fairy’ of the hub, Tama Nisa said “As the name implies, it’s a space, a portion of land where core values and the system that binds us is love and oneness because we believe that charity begins at home. The founders of this hub have a vision to create a safe space and environment where we can also practice to be better people, to be leaders, to rise above ego, hate and envy”. Commending it further, Precious Prieye Oliver, aka Nollywood, said he lacked words to describe Love Portion Hub. According to him, “Love Portion Hub is an amazing creative idea that is so unique. The natural ambience is second to none.” Promising to promote the hub, he said, “As a member of the Nollywood industry, I promise to do a lot of things here in the hub with my colleagues by networking and promoting the industry further both locally and globally”, he added.
