PROFILE OF ELDER (CHIEF) DEDE KALU:A CELEBRATED MARKETING EXPERT

Elder (Chief) Dede Kalu is a man of many parts. He is friendly and a fun loving man especially among the children. Chief Kalu is very loving and fun to associate with. He is an astute businessman and a dedicated follower of Christ. 

Born on the 11th of November, 1962 to the family of Chief and Mrs. Kalu Agwu of Amaekpu Ohafia in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, he had his early education in Ofali- Agwu Primary School in Amaekpu Ohafia and his Secondary education at Ohafia High School.Early in his life, Elder Dede understood the import of education as a transforming agent. In pursuant of this, he enrolled at the Ondo State Polytechnic, where he obtained both his OND (Ordinary National Diploma) and HND (Higher National Diploma) in Marketing respectively.

Elder (Chief) Dede Kalu also obtained a Bachelor of Science Certificate (degree) in Public Administration with the University of Jos, Plateau State. He has attended several courses in Marketing Communications in Kenya, Cote de I’voire and Ghana. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Marketing of Nigeria. He is also a member of the USA Chartered Auctioneers Association.

Elder Kalu is a philanthropist and has passionate love for his people. He has been in the forefront of proffering solutions to the many problems/challenges within his community. He has been a loving father to many people within and outside his community. He has invested in the lives of quite a number of people and little wonder both young and old have deep and unreserved love for him. He has served his age grade – Uke Atuegwu (Uke George, Lagos Branch) – meritoriously in different capacity including Financial and General Secretary. It was on this strength that he was honoured with “Nwa -Ukwu Uke” by the Age Grade.As a devoted Christian, his service to God and humanity came into recognition in 2014 when he was called up and ordained as a serving “Elder” of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Ikeja Parish.

He is happily married with many biological and foster children.

After his graduation, Elder Chief Dede Kalu gained employment with the Diamond Bank plc; in 1989. As a young banker he was desirous to grow his banking, clients’ management and marketing experience to a global status. In his determination to grow in work experience, he joined the Intercontinental Savings and Loans, another financial organization.Elder Chief Dede Kalu is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DAK Marketing Services Limited.
