SENATOR BOB: A QUINTESSENTIAL LEADER AKWA IBOM NEEDS

Throughout history, many leadership qualities have been observed. Some were adopted by oppressive leaders while others were exhibited by great leaders. In both cases, the traits of those in charge correlated to their ability to accomplish their desired results.

Leaders are prolific throughout every race and culture across the globe. While a leader can be anyone, great leaders are united by a number of quintessential characteristics that help define them as ‘great’.

Leadership is the act of guiding a group or organization to a desired goal, result, or higher level. Remembered throughout history, the greatest leaders have inspired millions of people and continue to do so even after their leaderships end.

One of such leaders is Distinguished Senator Effiong Bob who was born to excel with passion and determination to lead. Once he completed his Law Degree at University of Lagos, his political leadership prowess advanced. He was the Executive Chairman, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, from 1996-1997. His skills in grassroots leadership were demonstrated during this period. He was later elected Senator for the Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District in May 2003 and was re-elected in 2011. He is truly a visionary leader.

Sen. Bob has impressed his admirers with his commitment to core values, uncommon advocacy and articulate skills and his uncommon passion for service and humanitarian causes.

He is loved by his commitment to standards and excellence in whatever he does; a trait he has refreshingly brought to wherever he leads.

One must also not fail to mention his level of empathy for the cause of the downtrodden and those disadvantaged in the scheme of things in our society.

Himself a Barrister and former Senator, Distinguished Senator Effiong Bob is not a new name in the political firmament of Akwa Ibom State. He is devoted to his party.

Leadership in the political framework requires a focus on the long-term good of a country, above and ahead of any personal short-term gains.

Distinguished Senator Effiong Bob is a quintessential political leader with a combination of charisma and integrity, as well as the ability to assess a situation and make a decision based on what would be best for the people.

An effective political leader will have a leadership style that focuses on coalition and building. While negotiation and even coercion are sometimes necessary, a good political leader will always try to use persuasion first.
