In our world today, people are wandering for success here and there, but it is just that some are very acceptable and some are not. Here is a story that will show the legal way to success.
Once upon a time, in a village there lived a young boy named George. George was an only child who lived with his parents who were averaged-based traders. Their reputation was very good because they were known for giving which never made them lack anything.
As other young children, George attended the community secondary school which was just a kilometer away from home. George was a very brilliant student, he hardly failed any of his examinations, classworks, or even a test. The whole village knew him for his brilliance. So one day as he was returning home from school, he was amazed to see his parents seated with very highly educated dignitaries who came from the city because of they have so much heard about George. They came to test him!. They told his parents that if he had passed the test, he would be given a scholarship till he finishes his education.
So the test began, George was being tested on Mathematics and English studies with a total of 25 questions each. When the test was over, the score was more than humiliation. George got a total of just 8 out of 50. This was just so embarrassing that the dignitaries had to stand up and leave with great disappointment which was so visible on their faces. George’s parents could not just believe what their eyes just witnessed.
The next day, George’s parents decided to go to his school and find things out for themselves. They met with George’s teachers and told them the whole story. So the teachers advised them to counsel George when they got home instead of flogging him to force out the truth. After school, his parents took him home, fed him well, then they sat him down to talk. They asked him if this was ever true or it was a cock and bull story.
So George started to tell the truth saying thus, ‘Daddy I have been cheating to pass my examinations, tests, and classwork. I have never read at all, I only cheat to pass, all the prizes I have won are from cheating and also bribery. I have been doing this because I have the fear of failing, because if I fail, I always taught you would beat me mercilessly’. So his father replied him saying ‘Son, they only way to conquer your fear is to face your fear. Success is not an accident, if only you would read hard and try to do the wrong things right, then success is totally yours. Failure is the easiest thing but success is the hardest, because it is only laziness that kills a man. Son, the only secret of success is getting ready, not just ready, legally ready’.
When George heard his fathers words, that inspired him a lot, he went back to school with this words in his head, despite the mockery from friends, he sat down to read, he forgot about cheating and focused caused he knew if he derailed, that’s the end of the road. Soon examinations came, George was all ready for it. He wrote it with so much ease and came out with flying colours. The way was now fully bright for George, he was given another chance of scholarship, but never failed this time around. He passed the scholarship and kept on with his legal way to success.
So what I am trying to say is: ‘If you cheat you only pass on paper but not experience. So the only legal way to success is to ‘GET READY BY WORKING HARD’.
