A TOAST TO ‘MUMMY’ UYO AT 80

It was a great day as members of Union Secondary School Ibiaku Ibiono Ibom Old Girls’ Association, USSIOGA, Lagos Chapter rose up in their number to celebrate one of their own, Lady Bassey Edet Uyo. She clocked 80 on January 14, 2025.

Led by the Chapter Head, Mrs. Inyang Ubeng, the event, which took place at Majesty Event Centre, Festac Town, Lagos, showcased class and standard.

Mummy Uyo, as she is popularly known and called by her friends and admirers was graciously flanked by her children, grand-children, secondary school mates, friends, family, church members, etc at the party.

Mummy Uyo looked young, beautiful, strong and gracious at 80. Many wondered what made her look so attractive at the age of 80. Reason is not far-fetched. She maintains a healthy lifestyle.

Recall that Lady Uyo, during USSIOGA Lagos Chapter’s end of the year 2024 party gave a talk on healthy lifestyle using herself as a case study. She included eating well, exercising, and getting enough sleep as some of the tips to healthy living. She also added reducing stress, limiting alcohol, and maintaining a healthy weight, amongst others.
