Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a frontline political figure and philanthropist, Emmanuel Ntatam, PhD., in furtherance of efforts to actualise his aspiration for the 2027 Ikono State Constituency mandate, has intensified consultations as he met with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ikono LGA.
The consultation meeting which took place at the Party’s Secretariat in Ikono, focused on unity, inclusion and a collective commitment toward building a stronger and more progressive Ikono.

Addressing party faithful during the engagement, Ntatam emphasised the need for justice, equity and fairness in the current political process, leading to the 2027 State Assembly election.
He noted with passion that sustainable development through effective representation can only thrive where and when every section of the Constituency is recognised and allowed equal representative opportunity.

According to him, the time has come for the people of Ikono to rally around competence, visionary leadership, and a shared commitment to growth; achievable only through purposeful and people-oriented representation.
He appreciated members of the party for their sustained loyalty, sacrifices and dedication to the progress of the APC in Ikono, assuring that his aspiration was driven by a genuine longing to serve the people and advance the interests of the Constituency in an elective capacity where he would fly the banner of Ikono people.

The House of Assembly hopeful further pledged to pursue people-centric legislations, youth empowerment, human capital development and infrastructural Renaissance, if entrusted with the mandate of representation for the Constituency come 2027.
Ntatam Dismissed the idea that his ambition was a personal project, but a collective movement aimed at restoring hope, strengthening grassroots participation and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every community in Ikono.

The Ikono Chapter Party Chairman, Hon. Iniodu Esah, commended Ntatam for the timely consultation, while applauding him for his philanthropic efforts in Ikono and beyond.
Admiring Ntatam’s humility, accessibility and longstanding commitment to humanitarian service through various interventions that have positively impacted lives across the constituency, he described him as an “asset to Ikono.”
Speaking in turns, Hon. Ini Ikpin, expressed optimism that his entrance into the race would bring renewed energy, broader participation and greater political inclusion within the party and the constituency at large.
Projecting Ntatam as an excellent candidate for the race, Mr Ikpin stressed that “zoning must be respected in Ikono, and it is the turn of Ediene Itak to produce the next House of Assembly Member.”
The Women Leader of the Party, Hon. Grace Asuquo, gave a nod of satisfaction with the aspiration of Dr Ntatam who she said has the competence to give Ikono quality representation in the State House of Assembly.

The Secretary of the Party, Hon. Kufre Innocent, urged the stakeholders of the Party to take a dicisive position on the Ikono State Constituency race, as the progress of the entire local government was solely dependent on that decision
He called for transparency, fairness, equity and balance in the decision making process, emphasising the necessity to adopt a deserving and proactive leader such as Ntatam to speak for the people of Ikono in the next season of representation.
The well-attended consultation was part of the ongoing engagements by the AKHA expectant to further cultivate goodwill and consolidate his support base across the political territory, as the momentum towards the 2027 electoral season is gathering impact.
