Christian Women in the country have been urged to adapt technology, innovations and work to actualize their potentials and to use same for the development of the ministry and humanity so as to conform with the original plan of creation by God Almighty.

This charge was handed down by the Guest Speaker, Ms Inemesit Ebu to the Women Fellowship of Global Grace Church, Osborne Avenue ,Mende Maryland during the annual Women Empowerment training week on Sunday, 15th September 2024.

In her welcome address, Pastor (Mrs) Hilda Samuel Effiong, Wife of General Overseer and Coordinator of Women Ministry of the Church disclosed that women empowerment ministry was borne out of necessity and to ensure that apart from engaging in the spiritual work to uplift the gospel, women need to venture into businesses so as to cater for the needs of their families and that of the church.

She revealed that over the years and with the regular trainings given to the women on empowerment and enterprise development, that it has enhanced and develop their business skills and making them successful in their various business engagements as well as helped them to nurture their talents which have been applied by them in various human endeavors to excel. She pointed out that as humans that are created by God to bring out our very best to benefit humanity and the society at large, women should strive to be relevant in all aspects of meaningful living.

She said the establishment of the Women ministry was based on two pronged, one of which was for capacity building for the women and another to engage in contributions into a common pool that will help them in future investments. She quoted Zechariah 4: 10 as she revealed that that humble beginning in terms of training and contributions has grown in leaps and bounds as it has assisted and boosted them in their investment drive.

She noted that we are all created to impact the world in our unique ways, charging individual women to see themselves as also capable of doing same in their various endeavors.

The Guest Speaker, Ms Inemesit Ebu, Editor in Chief and Publisher of Great Achievers World magazine spoke on the topic; ” SCALING THROUGH YOUR BUSINESS PLANS” where she took the women through the nitergrity of a successful business plan and growth to include; identifying the type of business to engage in, the objective, choosing the product type, development, adopting marketing standard procedures etc.

According to Ms. Ebu, for a business to grow from start up, scale through and be sustained, a potential investor should be able to compute the cost, equipment, staff, marketing and apply modern technology such as social media to be able to reach out to his customers and wider audience.
Aside the above, such Investor, she noted, should be able to draw up his or her short and long term plan, which, she observed will help in the growth of such venture.

In order to achieve this, the Guest Speaker reminded them that there should be periodic rewards for consistent and loyal customers, engaging in feedback, product innovation & branding, continuous upscale of such business as well as to benchmark in comparison to one’s competitors.

Prospective investors, Ebu said, should be frugal in spending and to ensure to keep proper accounting system that will help to determine growth in profits and investment so as to help them achieve their short and long term plans already outlined at the inception of such business.

She admonished the women congregation not to ignore any business plan but to apply the Christian virtues of diligent, prudent, humility and consistency , fair deal, modern technology, assuring them that if the above is applied, such business is bound to expand beyond their expectations and launch them to the world as successful business women.

Speaking on behalf of other women with newsmen shortly after the program, Mrs Nse Aniekan , President of Women Fellowship of Global Grace Church said the training has impacted positively on the women,as she assured that the knowledge gained shall be applied by them in their investment drive and expansion.

She commended the General Overseer of the Church, Senior Pastor Samuel Effiong, Coordinator of the Women Ministry and wife of G. O, Mrs Hilda Samuel Effiong and the entire Women of the church and the invited guests for their participation and contributions to the success of the program.

In his closing remarks, Senior Pastor Samuel Effiong thanked God for the women initiative in the capacity and empowerment training and building, as he charged them to utilize the knowledge gained in prudent management of their businesses.

The high point of the event was the medical outreach organized by the Women Ministry where sugar level and blood pressure tests were carried out on members as well as weight testing, which the organisers said it was intended to keep members fit and make them stay healthy to enable them continue in the propagation of the ministry and engage in meaningful ventures.

Global Grace Church Inc., according to Senior Pastor Samuel Effiong, is a Pentecostal Ministry established over the years to reconcile Souls to God, preach the undiluted words to the world and also train members to develop their God given talents for the benefits of all.
