Most Rev. Dr. Sir Friday Ibanga, KSMT PJHR Diplomat, The Commandant General Chaplain Hospitallar and Human Initiative and Patriarch of Everlasting Christ Gospel Mission International, ECGMI has declared that the collaboration between The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State is divine and is to the benefit of the people of Akwa Ibom State. He stated on Sunday when a group, Authentic Forum of Village Council Chairmen and Secretaries in Akwa Ibom State came to worship in The Everlasting Christ Gospel Mission Headquarters, Mbiabong Ikot Udo Uso in Uyo metropolis.
The clergyman used the occasion to describe Governor Umo Eno as Patriarch Incarnate, a democrat not a typical Nigerian politician. He observed that The Governor has a voice of a priest and respects thrones and alters in his policies. The clergyman posited that Governor Eno is bringing back the old values that held a balanced society.
At the National level, the clergyman said that President Bola Tinubu won the 2023 Presidential election because he consulted thrones and alters while other candidates sought power from pulpits.
In his sermon, Most Rev Ibanga preached that Jesus Christ called the church his father’s business and celebrated the visitors for their efforts at protecting the villages in the state.
He posited that the greatest legacy a father bequeaths his children is his philosophy. He urged the forum to seek God as any organization that fears God has trust in each other.
Most Rev Ibanga advocated what he called Genetic Tribe Patriotism which he explained to imply helping a brother in need.
He admonished the Chairmen and Secretaries to desist from seeking power outside God as this leads to Cultism violence and premature death. He told them that they were chosen because of their antecedents and their lineages, they are mandated to control the grassroot and crime. He cautioned them against bribery and corruption and told them to absorb insults in line of duty.
The Leader of the group, Elder Otuekong Uko from Uruan Local Government Area in his speech said that having recognized the practical Christianity practiced by Most Rev Ibanga, they came to adopt him as the spiritual father of the group. He further stated that they came to use the opportunity to endorse President Bola Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno for another term in office and pledged their support for their re-election. Elder Uko used the occasion to recognize the village heads as custodians of tradition who they work under. He thanked the clergyman for giving them the forum to express their endorsement.
Responding the Most Rev promised to stand in the gap for them spiritually, he urged them to organize seminars and workshops on leadership, he revisited the virtues of The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio who according to him lives a sacrificial lifestyle. He said that whoever is fighting Akpabio is fighting grace as he has paid his dues in the advancement of Christendom.
The climax of the occasion was the consecration of the Chairman of Chairmen, Elder Otuekong Uko with Royal beads, mantle, staff and trumpet. He anointed him with oil before praying for him. He then prayed for all the Chairmen and Secretaries.
Most Rev Ibanga in his characteristic manner as a practical Christian donated one big goat, a cartoon of wine, a 50 kg bag of rice and a crate of malt urging them to celebrate with the items in their Secretariat.
Most Rev Friday Ibanga is a typical example of a practical Christian who is not living on donations but gives abundantly to the less privileged in the society. He also runs a humanitarian organization called Chaplain Hospitallar and Human Initiative, CHAHI with Headquarters at Mbiabong Ikot Udo Uso in Uyo, The Akwa Ibom State Capital.
